The Nutrition Council of India (NCI) Trust is a forward-looking, non-governmental organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of public health through nutrition awareness, education, and research.

Established under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, NCI Trust is a registered charitable entity (Reg. No. 571) and operates independently as an autonomous body. The organization is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by the Government of India . All initiatives are voluntary and undertaken solely in the interest of public welfare and national health advancement.

With a multidisciplinary approach, NCI Trust works at the convergence of nutrition science, agriculture, healthcare, food systems, and policy, building an integrated ecosystem that supports sustainable and equitable access to nutrition across India.

NCI Institute of Food, Nutrition & Health Sciences

The NCI Institute of Food, Nutrition & Health Sciences, established in 2024, is the academic and research arm of NCI Trust, dedicated to advancing professional education, applied research, and innovation in nutrition and health sciences.

The Institute currently operates exclusively through online programs, ensuring accessibility, flexibility, and nationwide reach.

It is important to note that the Institute functions as an internal unit of NCI Trust and does not operate as a separately registered legal entity.
