Nutrition Council of India

NCI is a pioneering organization committed to revolutionizing the nation's approach to nutrition. Our vision is clear: to establish an integrated and comprehensive nutrition supply system that spans from agriculture to medicine. At the heart of our mission is the recognition that nutrition is not just about food consumption but encompasses the entire spectrum of factors influencing health and well-being. By bridging the gap between agriculture, food processing, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals, we aim to create a seamless ecosystem where every individual has access to nourishing and wholesome nutrition.
Our Objectives:
-
Promoting Agricultural Diversity: We advocate for diverse and sustainable agricultural practices that ensure the production of nutrient-rich foods.
-
Enhancing Food Processing Standards: We collaborate with food processing industries to develop innovative methods that preserve nutritional value while ensuring food safety.
-
Educating and Empowering Communities: We empower individuals and communities with nutrition knowledge, fostering healthy eating habits and lifestyles.
-
Research and Development: We invest in research initiatives to explore the connection between nutrition and health, driving innovation in both the agriculture and healthcare sectors.
-
Advocating Policy Change: We work closely with policymakers to advocate for policies that prioritize nutrition, aiming to create an enabling environment for healthy living.
-
Integrating Nutrition into Healthcare: We strive to integrate nutrition into healthcare systems, ensuring that medical professionals are equipped to address nutritional needs as an integral part of patient care.
-
Collaborating Across Sectors: We foster partnerships between various sectors including agriculture, healthcare, academia, and government bodies to create a unified approach towards nutrition security.
Our commitment to excellence drives us to constantly innovate and adapt to the evolving landscape of nutrition and healthcare. Together, let's build a healthier and more nourished India for generations to come. Join us in our journey towards a future where nutrition is not just a privilege but a fundamental human right.
