"Expanding the Vision: NCI’s Food Safety Campaign Reaches Integral Campus"

Lucknow, April 2025 — The Food Safety Squad (FSS) conducted an insightful awareness session on food safety at Integral University’s Department of Bioengineering. This marked the second chapter of the FSS presentation series, aimed at promoting ethical food practices, nutrition safety, and hygiene under the broader umbrella of the Nutrition council of India (NCI).

The session was held in the presence of university students and faculty members and was organized under the guidance of Dr. Shipra Bhardwaj and Dr. Alveena Fruqui, who have been actively supporting student involvement in such socially driven initiatives. Both mentors emphasized the importance of food safety in everyday life and encouraged students to align with the vision of Shudh Bharat Mission, a national movement led by Dr. Kshitij Bhardwaj.

The event was coordinated at Integral University by Dr. Pooja Sharma, who played a vital role in facilitating the session and ensuring enthusiastic student participation.

Presentations during the session were delivered by Dr. Jyoti and Dt. Varsha, who highlighted practical aspects of food hygiene and the role of household-level awareness in ensuring community well-being.

Dr. Shipra Bhardwaj further elaborated on the goals of FSS and its mission to educate people at the grassroots level about food safety, underlining its relevance in the current health landscape.

FSS members Sabia, Sajid, Fareena Afreen, and Kajal were also present and played an active role in the session, contributing to discussions and interacting with attendees.

The session concluded with a call to action for students to become proactive responsibility towards a healthier and more hygienic India.
