The event took place at the Mini Auditorium, SRMU, and brought together experts, academicians, and students to promote awareness about nutrition and community health.

The program featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Shailendra Pratap Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Food), Food Safety and Drug Administration, Barabanki; Prof. P.P. Gothwal, Chief Scientist and Head, CSIR-CFTRI, Lucknow Satellite Centre; Mr. Sameer Sanjay, Nursing Officer, Department of Critical Care Medicine, King George’s Medical University, Lucknow; and Dt. The Nutrition Council of India, with strategic direction from Dr. Shipra Bhardwaj, Dr. Kshitij Bhardwaj, and Dr. Jyoti Yadav, continues to take forward its mission of educating communities about health, nutrition, and food safety through various NCI initiatives and outreach programs across the country. Their collective vision focuses on empowering individuals with knowledge, promoting sustainable nutrition practices, and fostering a culture of health and wellness.

The event also included sessions on expert lectures, career guidance, and a poster-making competition that encouraged student participation and creativity around the theme of “Empowering Communities through Poshan.” Two dedicated NCI interns, Ms. Vishakha and Ms. Unnati, actively contributed to the event’s success by assisting in coordination and engaging with participants to spread the message of nutrition and wellness.

The program was convened by Dr. Ankita Srivastava, Assistant Professor, IBST, under the leadership of Dr. Tabish Qidwai, Director, IBST. The university’s management—Er.
